We are seeking talented, upbeat and professional engineers who are willing to share with us the excitement of rolling out applications on a worldwide basis, on one of the most dynamics markets that can be found. We design, develop and sell applications for camera phones. Building upon our unique technological assets in image processing (patented) and know-how in GUI design, we address the global market of mobile telephones manufacturers and mobile carriers and content providers through our French and Chinese offices.
Position
Your developments have been a hit with end-users and you have a passion or a special talent for application and user interface development. As a member of our Applications Development team, you will design, develop, and test new applications on our reference platform (Symbian Series60); port, integrate, and validate existing applications on target customer environments; and maintain and support these in order to participate to the success of our clients. You will be exposed to a variety of technical environments such as Symbian Series 60, 80 and 90, Symbian UIQ, Windows Mobile 2003 (both for Pocket PC and Smartphone), Linux, J2ME, PalmOS, Brew, Rex, and other real-time operating systems. You will be expected to develop code in accordance with our development rules and procedures, and to contribute to improving our processes when necessary. You will pay special attention to optimization in these embedded environments (memory, real-time, power). The software code you will generate will be well-documented and easy to maintain. You will adapt quickly to new environments and will maintain your technical edge by proactively acquiring knowledge and skills. You will share you knowledge with other members of the team on a daily basis.
Required skills
- Development experience in C and C++, on Symbian, Windows Mobile Edition (Smartphone or Pocket PC) and/or PalmOS
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies, idioms and tools (RUP, XP, SCRUM, UML, MDA...)
- Tools: Microsoft Visual Studio, cvs, bugzilla, make, ant
- Fluent English
- 3+ years work experience
- Development experience in a POSIX environment would be appreciated
- Real-time embedded OS development experience would be appreciated
- International openness (global customers ; occasional travel required)
