After deploying early versions of its motion estimation technology in the Samsung SCH-A990 in summer 2006, and partnering with ACCESS to ‘motionize’ NetFront Browser 3.5 (the ‘Smart Swing Navi’ feature), Realeyes3D accelerated deployment with the prototype release of the Samsung Instinct.

The web browser's UI in the phone combines touch screen and motion estimation for a very fluid user experience. This very feature garnered tremendous interest during CTIA 2008, and received coverage in widely recognized media outlets from C|NET to InfoSyncWorld, while the Samsung Instinct earned the “Best of Show” Award.

Product is named Qipit. French company. Presented at DEMOmobile 3 years ago. Converts camera phone photos of documents, whiteboards, etc. into clean imaged documents. Crops out extraneous information surrounding a document or whiteboard. Adjusts contrast etc. to make clean images of the document.
Initial Reaction: Fairly impressive technology. Not sure how they plan to make money ... licensing? subscription? And how much market demand is there for it?
